Standing 115 feet tall on the Mendocino coast, Point Arena Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast. It was constructed to warn sailors of the dangerous Arena Rock, which has caused over 100 shipwrecks. Visitors can climb 145 steps for breathtaking views of the ocean or even stay overnight in the historic keeper’s quarters.
