The jet stream will meander north into Greenland and then dip south through the North Atlantic before cutting off completely as a closed circulation to the west of Europe. A lot of similarities when you replace the jet stream with an actual river. Almost like an oxbow lake forming. Cut-off lows happen fairly often across the hemisphere.
