🚂🌫🌫🌫 Steam locomotive 3801 heads diesel-electric locomotives 4201 and 4501 as the triple-header powers through Bethungra in southern NSW, on the way to Junee ahead of the final leg to Albury. Nearly 60 years after being withdrawn from service, the newly restored locomotive 3801 passed through Junee today on route to Albury for the Easter long weekend. The wait is over! Following a decade long restoration, Transport Heritage NSW is pleased to announce the return of locomotive 3801. 🥳 3801 will return to service with a weekend of steam train rides in Sydney on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 March 2021, followed by a program of day trips and visits to regional NSW.
