Michael Che cracked an ICE joke on SNL… and it did not land for everyone. During the “Weekend Update” segment, Che addressed the fatal shooting of ICU nurse Alex Pretti by ICE, calling out the agency while using humor to make his point. The studio audience laughed, but online reactions were split: some said the joke was "tame," "weak," or totally inappropriate given the gravity of what happened, while others argued that humor is a coping mechanism — especially in the face of systemic violence.
