This is the reality of raising a child with level three autism. I stepped outside to let the dog out before my mom came over. I was gone for a few minutes. When I came back inside, Noah had snapped his laptop in half. People often ask why I don’t punish him for this. The answer is complicated. Noah has Level 3 autism. His brain doesn’t process cause and effect, consequences, or discipline the way most people’s brains do. A severe punishment wouldn’t teach him the lesson people assume it would. H

Why does the internet hate little old me? To be 100% clear because I know EVERYTHING is taken out of context - I agree that I could have used a better phrase than I did.
