Sep 26, 2020 · Rob Liefeld is not the worst. I know, I know. But let's be honest: he's terrible, but he's not the worst. The problem with his, eh, "art"... Craft. Let's say craft. The problem with his craft is that he has not evolved over time. He continues to make the same mistakes he did back when he started.

I went to a Rob Liefeld panel at SD comic con and he was a really cool guy. He talked about how he wanted to keep his writers and artists paid. He joked about his art style. And instead of giving out a handful of signed swag (to people who asked questions) as originally planned, he ended up giving swag to everyone.

As much as Deadpool's look is part of his success (the one thing I think Liefeld can stake a claim to), Liefeld is a tool for taking sole credit for everything that's happened since and what the character is today.
