City officials confirmed reports that President Trump is sending ICE tactical teams to Chicago, the same move that sparked massive protests in Los Angeles.

As President Donald Trump viciously attacked his perceived political foes, he whipped up boos from the gathered troops directed at California leaders, including Gov. Gavin Newsom. The rest of the world has realized the United States is no longer a dependable partner or ally—and they’re moving closer together without us.

According to the sources, the teams will be activated in Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, northern Virginia, including Washington, D.C., and New York.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson encouraged his city to protest the Trump administration’s immigration raids across the country. “I am counting on all of Chicago to resist in this moment,” said Johnson, who is a Democrat. “Whatever particular vulnerable group is being targeted today, another group will be next.”
