Grateful Dead fans (and everyone else, too) will soon be able to celebrate the music and legacy of the late Jerry Garcia when Garcia’s Chicago, an intimate concert venue and restaurant, opens March 21 in the West Loop. The establishment, at 1001 W. Washington, is a partnership between Peter Shapiro and Dayglo Presents and the Jerry Garcia Family.

A new music venue and restaurant will soon open in Chicago’s West Loop, paying tribute to one of music’s most legendary figures.

Except for a few songs from earlier releases, virtually all the music on “Enjoying the Ride” is previously unreleased, spanning more than 450 tracks and over 60 hours of music. Seventeen of the 20 shows in the collection are presented in full, with some featuring additional material from the same venue.
