NOAA weather radios across a large portion of central and southern Minnesota won’t broadcast storm warnings Monday should they be needed as the National Weather Service upgrades its system that delivers alerts.
There is a line of dying storms moving through the Twin Cities around midday Monday. It is still too early to say if these storms will limit the metro’s severe potential later in the afternoon.
KARE 11's John Zeigler said a warm, humid and unstable atmosphere could trigger severe storms and the risk of hail up to the size of a tennis ball.
