With Aaron Rodgers leading the way, the Jets never looked to be a contender. They were expected to be a Super Bowl contender in each of the two years that Rodgers was under center, but he tore his Achilles in 2023 and the team was never able to come together in 2024.

Cameron's logic checks out. In Fields' previous two seasons as a full-time starter, he easily cleared 625 rushing yards, including a historic 1,143 as a sophomore in 2022. Fields should have a long leash as the Jets' starter in 2025, and expect the Jets to tap into his scrambling ability.
