The Lightning played their best first-round playoff hockey against Florida in Saturday’s Game 3 win without Brandon Hagel. The forward was serving a one-game suspension for his Game 2 interference hit on Florida’s Aleksander Barkov.

Hagel introduced himself to anyone not already paying attention during the 4 Nations Face-Off in February, where he fired both punches and verbal challenges for Canada, fighting Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk in the first United States-Canada showdown and announcing his team was playing “for a flag, not the cameras,” in a shot at the U.S.

Brandon Hagel will miss Game 3 of the Lightning's first-round playoff series after getting suspended for his late hit that knocked Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov out of Game 2.
