BOSTON — The Red Sox and Dodgers game Sunday at Fenway Park will begin in a rain delay. A message on the ballpark Jumbotron says, “Today’s game will be delayed briefly due to weather in the area. Conditions are expected to improve this afternoon. Further updates will be provided when available.”
The storm also left its mark in Chester, Pennsylvania. Flash flooding turned Tilghman Street and West 2nd Street into rivers. A driver found himself stuck next to his car as police arrived to help. Over at 9th Street and Meadow Lane, another vehicle was impacted, and along Hartwick, flooding stretched for several blocks.
It’s unclear when the game, originally scheduled for 1:35 p.m., will begin. Weather forecasts show the potential for rain throughout the day.
