After blowing a 16-point lead in their last outing against Ohio State, No. 11 Purdue (16-5, 8-2) came into their home building with murderous intent, and the Wolverines were their victims. The Boilermakers jumped to a 13-2 lead to start the game and never looked back, delivering a 91-64 beatdown of No. 21 Michigan (14-5, 6-2) on Friday night.

Just as the Wolverines appeared to settle in, Michigan had two more crucial turnovers, allowing Purdue to push the lead 13-2 just 3:28 into the game. Purdue continued to get much of anything it wanted while the Wolverines had to work for just about everything.

A bipartisan coalition of states, including Tennessee, will receive $7.4 billion from Purdue Pharma, Inc. and members of the Sackler family for their “instrumental” role in the crisis. The settlement is the largest to date with respect to individuals’ contributions to the opioid crisis.

Members of the Sackler family who own OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma, and the company itself, agreed to pay up to $7.4 billion to settle lawsuits over the toll of the powerful prescription painkiller.
