Paul Goldschmidt homered on the first pitch of the game, Trent Grisham hit a three-run shot and the New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-2 Tuesday night to end a four-game losing streak.

The Orioles had to use the injured list again today. Left-hander Grant Wolfram is sidelined by a lower-back strain, with the 15-day IL move retroactive to Saturday. Tyler Wells was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to keep the bullpen count at eight.

The Yankees (26-16) and the Orioles (19-23) continue a three-game series at Camden Yards tonight. The series began last night with the Yankees stymied at the plate by Brandon Young and three relievers in a 3-2 O’s victory.

According to Francys Romero of Beisbol FR, the New York Yankees are calling up Anthony Volpe. He has yet to make his season debut.
