Thousands of Shakira fans will descend on MetLife Stadium Thursday and Friday night but they won’t have mass transit to get there — even if NJ Transit doesn’t go on strike at midnight as planned. NJ Transit said on Monday that its rail and bus lines to MetLife Stadium will not be running during the two-day period.

A possible NJ Transit rail strike doesn’t lie! NJ Transit announced it’s canceling train and bus service to MetLife Stadium for the Shakira concerts on Thursday and Friday due to the possibility of NJ Transit engineers calling a strike by the end of the week.

NJ Transit's advisory provided riders with details on contingency plans that would take effect if engineers walk off the job at 12:01 a.m. EDT Friday.
