MINNEAPOLIS, May 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Farm Aid is heading to Minnesota for the first time for its 40th anniversary festival on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Farm Aid has been held virtually every year since the inaugural event in Champaign, Illinois, back in 1985. But this is the first time it’s touched down in Minneapolis.

Farm Aid, the music and food festival launched by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp, will be held in Minneapolis for the first time in its 40-year history.

Farm Aid, the annual benefit concert held for American farmers, has announced its 40th anniversary lineup to be held in Minneapolis this fall, including Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp.

Farm Aid will be Chesney’s eighth appearance in a Minneapolis stadium since 2012. The singer, who boasts 32 No. 1 Nashville songs, last rocked U.S. Bank Stadium in May 2024.

Despite its skyscrapers and traffic jams, Minneapolis has more than 1,000 people who’ve recently collected farm payments from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
