As he sat in the dugout Wednesday morning, Giants manager Bob Melvin did nothing to hide the importance of the afternoon game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Giants went into sell mode, sending Tyler Rogers to the New York Mets for what was considered to be a strong return.

Per multiple reports, the return for Rogers will be right-handers Jose Butto and Blake Tidwell, as well as outfielder Drew Gilbert. Butto has pitched over parts of four seasons with the Mets and has a 3.64 ERA this season over 47 innings, while Tidwell and Gilbert are New York’s No. 10 and No. 12 prospects per MLB Pipeline.
