The map redistricting conflict in Texas has escalated, with Democrats facing threats of arrest just days into the dispute.

Houston State Rep. Gene Wu, who Gov. Greg Abbott called the "ringleader" of Texas Democrats who fled, and other party leaders reported a bomb threat on Wednesday.

Abbott is pushing to vacate seats of legislators who fled Texas to halt passage of a GOP-engineered congressional map.
