Ahead of last weekend's series at Tennessee, the Auburn Tigers were projected to host a regional in D1Baseball's Field of 64 projections as the No. 14 overall seed. Now, the Tigers are in a prime position to host both a regional and a super regional in the publication's updated outlook.

The Tigers won the series over Tennessee, taking games one and three against the No. 12 Volunteers. Each of the wins were relatively lopsided too, and the one loss came in extra innings after the contest had to be suspended and resumed the next day.

Tennessee baseball has lost three straight SEC series and four of its past five after dropping a weekend to Auburn.
