Patriots safety Marte Mapu is being shifted back to linebacker, an indication that the team might not keep him around long.

But in his first two NFL seasons, Mapu played almost exclusively safety. That's expected to be different in 2025. Mapu is listed as a linebacker on the Patriots' website, writes SI's Mike D'Abate.
