Much like its creator, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence chatbot Grok was preoccupied with South African racial politics on social media this week, posting unsolicited claims about the persecution and “genocide” of white people.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, has been inserting unsolicited commentary about “white genocide” in South Africa into user conversations, regardless of the topic.

Grok was caught earlier this year censoring results critical of President Trump and Musk himself, sowing more doubt of its factual integrity.
