The exodus of wealthy New Yorkers from the city that Florida realtors expected has yet to materialize, data shows.

Voters are warming up to New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and some of his left-wing policy priorities, according to

"The city has civic assets in its neighborhoods, community organizations, and engaged residents. What it lacks is a civic foundation built to the scale of this political moment."

NYC’s November election led to major land-use reforms, reducing the City Council’s power to block affordable housing projects. Despite opposition, the changes received strong support, paving the way for Mayor-elect Mamdani to push further reforms and increase affordable housing in the city.
