Brady, Super Bowl and Philadelphia Eagles
The NFC Championship between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders has had a few controversial calls from officials, and the internet is roasting FOX broadcaster Tom Brady for his take on the matter.
On a podcast, Bill Belichick suggested the Super Bowl trophy should be named after seven-time champion Tom Brady, not Vince Lombardi:
As for the “catch” reference, Brady failed to reel in a reception off a trick play during Super Bowl LII. During a 3rd-and-5 play in the second quarter, New England dialed up a play where James White flipped the ball over to Danny Amendola, who tossed up the ball to a sprinting Brady down the field.
As Brady was calling the game, Fox broadcaster and play-by-play caller Kevin Burkhardt was raving about Saquon Barkley and how "magnificent" he has been during the team's current run. He even took a shot at the Giants fans himself.
Faced with hiring a general manager and head coach, most NFL owners would've been heavily involved in every facet of the process.
Hurts wasn’t the only quarterback receiving praises. Burkhardt and Brady had a lot to say about Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels ahead of the matchup between division rivals. “He’s not playing like a rookie. He’s actually playing at an MVP-type level,” Brady said.
Jalen Hurts is set to start his second Super Bowl in three seasons, and the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is set to join some elite company with his second Super Bowl as a starting quarterback. Hurts is only 26 years old and has two Super Bowl appearances on his resume,
Retired NFL legend and current FOX Sports announcer, Tom Brady, threw some shade at the New York Giants for letting Saquon Barkley walk.
The broadcast of Super Bowl 59 will feature several longtime NFL voices, along with newcomer and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady.
