A top confidant to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who played a leading role in Jerusalem’s October ceasefire negotiations team, resigned from his ministerial post.
Ron Dermer, 54, was born in the US and started working as a Benjamin Netanyahu adviser in 2003. He was Israel’s economic counselor in Washington.
Israel’s military said the ceasefire in Gaza was back on Wednesday after it carried out heavy air strikes that killed 104 people.
