YouView is being sued over its trademark and could have to change its branding, after the set top box venture chaired by Lord Alan Sugar lost a recent High Court battle.

YouView set top boxes will be sold separately or bundled at special rates with broadband packages, presumably from BT and TalkTalk, but also possibly with other providers.

The Essentials TV box had been scheduled for launch by April 2014, but has now been confirmed for ‘autumn 2013’ – that’s November to December in calendar months.

Youview has urged people not to retune their boxes following and asks them to visit a section of their website.
