Afghanistan's Taliban government says it will "respond appropriately" to Pakistani strikes that killed 10 people near the country's shared border.

RAWALPINDI: Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Tuesday strongly refuted allegations by the Afghan Taliban on Tuesday that Pakistan had conducted overnight strikes in Afghanistan, state media and the military’s media wing reported.

The ceasefire Qatar and Turkey brokered in October was still holding despite the alleged overnight strikes by Pakistan deep inside Afghanistan.

The report says that Pakistan possesses sufficient military capabilities and intelligence networks to alter the political balance in Afghanistan.

The two National Guard members, who came from units in West Virginia, had been patrolling in D.C. since August.
