Jasmine Paolini became the first Italian woman in more than a decade to reach the final of her home Italian Open when she beat American Peyton Stearns 7-5 6-1 on Thursday.

Coco Gauff needed three and a half hours to get past Zheng Qinwen in three sets Thursday to reach the Italian Open final, where she'll face Jasmine Paolini.

Defending champions Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini beat Mirra Andrea and Diana Shnaider 6-4 6-4 to reach the final of the women's doubles of the Italian Open on Friday. They will face the winner of the match between Veronika Kudermetova-Elise Mertens and Storm Hunter-Ellen Perez in the final.
