People from across the state showed up at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines to protest against President Donald Trump on "No Kings Day."
In hundreds of U.S. cities, "No Kings" protests are planned for June 14 to counter the military parade in Washington D.C., marking the Army's 250th anniversary, Flag Day and Trump's 79th birthday.
Dozens of other communities in Iowa held “No Kings” protests, including in Tipton. That protest also included a food & toiletry donation for HACAP. In Iowa City, hundreds of people gathered near the University of Iowa Pentacrest for a “No Kings” protest.
