Dancing With the Stars” judge and dancer Derek Hough has been tapped as the new host of the syndicated entertainment news magazine strip “Extra.” Hough replaces Billy Bush, who revealed earlier this year that he was exiting the Telepictures-produced series after five years.

Derek Hough will join the show for its 32nd season, which is set to premiere Sept. 8. The former Dancing With the Stars pro and judge and TV host will take over for Billy Bush, who announced in May that he wouldn’t return after five years.
