Oct. 30 NYC election update: Mamdani, Cuomo pick up endorsements as new polls released
With Election Day in New York City just 5 days away, the mayoral race between Zohran Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa is heating up.
New York City has not always been kind to its trailblazing mayors, though. Abe Beame, the first Jewish mayor of New York City, lost reelection after one term. So did David Dinkins, the first Black mayor, and John Purroy Mitchell, the last mayor elected in his 30s.
Zohran Mamdani, the front-runner, and his rivals, Andrew M. Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, are racing to turn out voters before Election Day on Tuesday. Polls are open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
