Kerr County authorities issued a new Guadalupe River evacuation notice and suspended search operations as more heavy rains inundated the area early Sunday.

As the search for victims continues, county officials say "additional resources" are being deployed as the "mission efforts become more technical."

"Life-threatening flash flooding" is ongoing in Kerr and Gillespie Counties -- including the areas of Kerrville, Comfort, Ingram, Hunt, Mountain Home, Waltonia, Harper, Kerrville-Schreiner Park and Cypress Creek -- according to the National Weather Service.
