Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, who brought Getsy aboard during the second half of the 2024 season as a defensive consultant, is re-hiring Getsy for a full-time role on the offensive side of the ball — although not for his previous job as quarterbacks coach.

The Green Bay Packers are hiring Luke Getsy to a senior offensive assistant role on Matt LaFleur’s coaching staff, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and PackersNews.com.

Following Robert Saleh, Luke Getsy joined Matt LaFleur‘s Packers staff in an advisory capacity after an in-season firing. The short-lived Raiders OC worked remotely for a stretch helping out Green Bay’s defense,

The Packers will be keeping Rich Bisaccia and Luke Getsy on their coaching staff. Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the team has signed Bisaccia to a contract extension and that Getsy will be a senior assistant on the offensive side of the ball.

According to Rob Demovsky, the Packers are expected to keep former Raiders OC Luke Getsy on their coaching staff “in some capacity.” Getsy closed the season working with the Packers’ defensive unit following his departure from Las Vegas.

ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, who broke the news that the Green Bay Packers would be moving on from defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich earlier this offseason, stated that former Packers quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy “is expected to land back on the Packers’ coaching staff in some capacity.
