Police union leader says pro-Palestinian rioters ‘lured’ officers into 'gauntlet,' warns agitators
The president of a police union in Boston said that officers were lured into a "gauntlet" on Tuesday night when a pro-Palestinian protest turned violent.
Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox was the subject of a scathing letter sent to Mayor Michelle Wu from Karen Read’s defense attorney, Alan Jackson, who demanded that the BPD head be placed on Boston’s “Brady List” for officers with credibility issues.
Commissioner Michael Cox claimed he didn’t know one of his officers was associated with Karen Read’s case. Alan Jackson is calling foul.
Between 10 a.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Boston Police Department reports that its officers responded to 273 incidents.
