Yu Zidi became the youngest athlete to medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore on July 31, 2025 when China won bronze in the women's 200-meter relay final.

Yu Zidi, a 12-year-old Chinese athlete, has become the youngest swimmer in history to win a medal at the World Aquatics Championships. China won bronze in the 4x200m freestyle relay at the Championships in Singapore, and while Yu did not swim in Thursday’s final, she qualified for a medal after swimming a leg in the heats earlier in the day.
