President Donald Trump though disagrees. As he inches the U.S. toward joining Israel’s war against Iran, Trump had a message for his notoriously non-interventionist DNI. “I don’t care what she said,” he told reporters on Tuesday on Air Force One. “I think they were very close to having one.”

President Trump said Monday that he disagrees with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's assessment from a few months ago that Iran is not currently trying to build a nuclear weapon and has not been doing so since 2003.

Tulsi Gabbard testified to Congress about Iran’s nuclear program earlier this year. Iran was not building a nuclear weapon, she told lawmakers.
