Former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley has joined the football program's coaching staff to serve as the team's assistant quarterbacks coach for head coach James Franklin and quarterbacks coach Danny O'Brien.

McSorley, 29, has joined the football program as an offensive analyst, according to the university staff directory. He will work under head coach James Franklin and alongside quarterbacks coach Danny O'Brien and coordinator Andy Kotelnicki in helping Penn State's offense.
