Evan Carter and Jake Burger each finished a triple short of the cycle as the Texas Rangers beat the slumping Washington Nationals 4-2.

After the Nationals shut out the Rangers in game one of the series, Texas returned the favor last night. A Jacob Degrom masterclass lifted the Rangers to a 5-0 win. The streaky Nationals offense needs to get back on track. They have been very quiet this home stand.

Bochy did not indicate how long Latz would pitch or the arrangement of the relievers after Latz.  The only pitcher he said he intends to stay away from is right-handed reliever Chris Martin, who pitched the ninth inning of Saturday's victory over the Nationals.
