THR reports tonight that Sean Combs (currently incarcerated and awaiting trial on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution) has launched a $50 million defamation suit against Courtney Burgess and Nexstar,

Combs' lawyer says Courtney Burgess, who said he has videos showing Combs sexually assaulting minors and celebrities, is spreading "outrageous lies."

The lawsuit names Courtney Burgess, a one-time music industry bit player, his lawyer and the owner of the cable network NewsNation, which aired an interview with Mr. Burgess.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Courtney Burgess, a man who alleged there are tapes of Combs involved in the sexual assault of minors, as well as Burgess' attorney, Ariel Mitchell.

The lawsuit, which also names Nexstar, targets assertions from Courtney Burgess that he possesses videos depicting sexual encounters involving Combs and other celebrities.

Ashley Parham, an accuser who filed suit against Combs in a California federal court in October, spoke to Ashleigh Banfield of NewsNation Tuesday night and detailed an evening in 2018 in which she says Combs and two other men "took turns" raping her while recording the assault before she was able to threaten him with a knife and ultimately run away from his house after a neighbor created a distraction.

The lawsuit accuses Courtney Burgess, his lawyer, and Nextstar Media Inc. of spreading "conspiracy theories" and seeks $50 million in damages.
