The New York Mets used the 223rd selection in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Auburn pitcher Cam Tilly on Monday. Tilly took on greater role as his second season with the Tigers went on, and he became the second Auburn pitcher picked in the seventh round of the 2025 draft. The Toronto Blue Jays chose Dylan Watts at No. 202.

Former Northwest Mississippi College, Memphis baseball's James Smith IV was selected by the New York Mets No. 433 overall in the 2025 MLB Draft.
