The San Diego Padres desperately need to add a star to their outfield, and a trade for Chicago White Sox slugger Luis Robert Jr. seems to make perfect sense.

It seemed like the White Sox developed a star in 2023, when center fielder Luis Robert Jr. slashed .264/.315/.542 with 38 homers and 80 RBI in 145 games. The Cuban international team member garnered All-Star and Silver Slugger honors that season, but his production has dipped since then.
