Prominent defense lawyer Alan Jackson, who represented Karen Read at both of her murder trials in Dedham, will defend Reiner against charges that he killed his parents.

Alan Jackson, the Los Angeles, California-based defense lawyer who headed Karen Read ’s defense team at her two criminal trials, has been hired to represent Nick Reiner, who is accused of fatally stabbing his parents, actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.

Nick Reiner is accused of murdering his father, beloved Hollywood director Rob Reiner, and his mother, Michele Singer Reiner. His attorney, Alan Jackson, says Nick won't appear in court until he is medically cleared.
