New York Mets' infielder Jeff McNeil has been red-hot, helping provide key length to the team's starting lineup.
Jeff McNeil wasted no time playing hero Tuesday night at Citi Field, lifting the Mets to a 5-4 walk-off win over the Nationals.
The Mets had answered a three-run deficit in the bottom of the second inning with McNeil looping in an RBI single to score Brandon Nimmo. Then, Soto, who finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, drove an opposite-field home run to left field in the bottom of the third inning to slice the Mets' deficit to 3-2.
Jeff McNeil doubled home the winning run in the 10th inning and the New York Mets rallied past the Washington Nationals 5-4.
