Trump referred to Anthropic as ‘WOKE’ and said that the government had to stop using it. That leaves just Elon Musk’s Grok to handle classified work.

The actions mark an extraordinary rebuke against one of the premier companies that has kept the US in the lead on national security-critical AI.
US President Donald Trump ordered a six month phase out of Anthropic products after the Pentagon labeled the AI firm a supply chain risk. The company plans a legal challenge, while OpenAI moves closer to deeper Defence Department deployment agreements.
The Trump administration's decision to designate Anthropic a "supply chain risk" could force Google, Amazon, and Nvidia to divest billions from the AI startup, former Trump AI advisor Dean Ball has warned.
The unprecedented conflict over the military’s use of Anthropic’s AI model could transform the relationship between Washington and the tech sector.
