Christopher Nolan‘s next movie, The Odyssey, is already one of the most anticipated movies of the year, and according to a new report, will be his most expensive. In a recent report from Matthew Belloni’s Puck newsletter,

“ Christopher Nolan ’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology,” said the studio. “The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.”

Like fellow directors Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, and Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan is a filmmaker whose name nearly everyone instantly recognizes, including those who haven't even seen one of his movies.
