Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
Digest more
The newest, biggest game of the season has arrived as the Minnesota Vikings host the Chicago Bears, and both will be without a couple of key starters.
The Chicago Bears will have revenge on their minds when they take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in the Twin Cities.
Kickoff from US Bank Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET on FOX. The Vikings are 2.5-point favorites, according to the latest Bears vs. Vikings odds. The over/under for total points scored is 47.5. The good news: the Bears’ lengthy injury report this week didn’t result in many absences. Only Johnson, Edwards, and receiver Jahdae Walker have been ruled out so far, while 11 players, including Stevenson and starting running back D’Andre Swift, are in for the game.
The outlook isn’t as positive on defense, where safety Jaquan Brisker (back) and linebacker T.J. Edwards (hamstring) remained out Thursday. Edwards has missed four games, and it looks likely this will be his fifth. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is dealing with a shoulder injury, which kept him out Wednesday, but he practiced in full Thursday.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams tapped his helmet, killing the initial play and moving to option No. 2. Receiver DJ Moore stood out to the left in a tight formation. At the snap, he cut across the middle of the field with New York Giants cornerback Dru Phillips in coverage right on his heels.
The Bears are proving they can win football games despite being without one key defensive starter. Could a trade be coming this offseason?
