Alex Ovechkin has reached 30 goals in a season for the 19th time in his 20-year NHL career. That extends the record he broke last year with his 18th.

After netting a hat trick Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers, Ovechkin is just 13 goals from 895, and DraftKings has him at -160 odds to reach the milestone over the next 25 games before the regular season ends. That’s an implied probability of better than 61%.

The Boston Red Sox should make it back to the playoffs in 2025 and the addition of former Houston Astros All-Star Alex Bregman certainly should help with this.

Bregman is also adjusting well to his new organization. Other players have been wowed by his eternal quest for betterment, especially top prospects Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell, who were stunned when the veteran star opted to sit with them at lunch and spend two hours chatting with them on his first day in camp.

Former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt accepted a position with the Los Angeles Rams as a senior offensive assistant. Van Pelt was a one-and-done coach under the short-lived Jerod Mayo era in New England.

The Los Angeles Rams have finalized their coaching staff for the 2025 season, just in time for the start of the NFL Scouting Combine. They announced on Monday that they’ve hired six new coaches to Sean McVay’s staff and given one returning coach a promotion.

It remains to be seen if quarterback Matthew Stafford will remain with the Rams for the 2025 season, but we know he'll be working with Alex Van Pelt if he is back for another year with the NFC West club.
